Lǟl-muandbö Ner (/laːl/ /muˈandbo˞/ [hood] [prison; jail; dungeon]) is a temperate Town located in the Krëchysnǟ Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Lǟl-muandbö Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Lǟl-muandbö Ner was founded by Gëilè Gunvrish, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Lǟl-muandbö Ner has a yearly average temperature of 7°C (44°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm -12°C (11°F). Overview

Lǟl-muandbö Ner was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1320, by Gëilè Gunvrish. The establishment of Lǟl-muandbö Ner was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Gëilè Gunvrish struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Lǟl-muandbö Ner as a prison colony.

Lǟl-muandbö Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lǟl-muandbö Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Lǟl-muandbö Ner is is constructed arround a series of crampt packed earth mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. Unfortuantly, these exceptionaly well made fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Lǟl-muandbö Ner gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. A second look around Lǟl-muandbö Ner makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had.

Lǟl-muandbö Ner possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Lǟl-muandbö Ner's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Lǟl-muandbö Ner's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Cultural Notes

Lǟl-muandbö Ner's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Lǟl-muandbö Ner.
